Since 1923, Lakeside Country Club has had a long tradition and proud history in Penn Yan. Membership is welcome to full- and part-time residents as well as frequent visitors. Members and their families enjoy a full range of golf, pickleball, social activities and special events from April through October. The clubhouse is always a hub of activity and includes a full-service bar and dining complete with stunning fairway views from the covered patio and firepit lounge. Memberships are broken down by student, family, single, pickleball and social, as well as age bracket.
Golf tee times at Lakeside are readily available seven days a week except during tournament and league play. If more casual golf is preferred, men’s and women’s informal golf groups have starting times on most weekend mornings. Golf leagues, tournament play, golf clinics, demo days and a Kids Golf Camp are also featured. Lakeside also enjoys a reciprocal arrangement with over thirty area golf clubs. Pickleball members play seven days a week at Lakeside on two outdoor courts. Members sign up for open play (skill-level based) or reserve court time using the Team Reach smartphone app. Members also enjoy Ladder and Round Robin play as well as the very-popular President’s Paddle and Ryder Cup Battle for the Paddle tournaments. Pickleball is for members only and their guests. A pickleball-only membership is available at Lakeside, but is included with a golf membership. Card game and mahjong schedules along with sign up are posted on the clubhouse bulletin board.
